Things people ask before they start.

Who is Fiskal meant for?

Enskilda firmor and small aktiebolag of all industries. Right now we support small businesses of all kinds — consultants, craftspeople, creatives, care, trades, shops. At this moment we do not have a salary feature; that is coming later this year. So if you have employees, we do not cover payroll within this system today.

Why don't you connect to my bank and Skatteverket?

On purpose. Services that log into your bank and tax accounts hold the keys to everything you own, and a breach at their end becomes a breach at yours. With Fiskal you upload bank and card statements yourself — PDF, image or spreadsheet, it reads all of them — and when it's time to declare, Fiskal shows you exactly what to type into each box on skatteverket.se, and why. You keep control and get the same ease; the only thing you give up is a login you shouldn't have been handing out.

Do I need to know accounting?

No. The introduction walks you through what to upload and in what order, Fin the helper fish answers questions about your own books in plain language, and the moms, RUT and year-end pages guide you through every single field. When something is genuinely unclear, human accountants are on call.

What do I actually upload?

Receipts and invoices you've paid (photos are fine), bank and card statements, and the invoices you send — or you make those in Fiskal, which learns your style from one old invoice. If you're paid by Swish or bank transfer rather than by invoice, Fiskal reads your incoming payments straight off the statement.

How is my data protected?

Everything is encrypted the moment it arrives — the database and every uploaded document — with keys kept separately from the data, so a stolen copy is unreadable. Nobody at Fiskal can see your books; admin tools show only your name, email and usage.

What does it cost?

Nothing for the first six months. After that, 50 kr a month — cancel whenever you like. The common Swedish programs cost 200–320 kr a month, and an accountant's hour costs more than a year of Fiskal.

I already have an accountant — can I still use it?

Yes, and many do. Fiskal keeps your books tidy, flagged and exportable all year, so the accountant gets a clean sheet instead of a shoebox. You can hand over the Excel export, the archived sheets, or the finished årsbokslut.
